through 基本意思是“穿过”，从汉语的角度来说，是动词的意思，但它是一个介词，大家在使用时要特别注意。

4、表示“借助于”：

It was through you that we could finish the work on time. 全仗你的帮助我们才按时完成这项工作。

5、表示“通通障碍、避开法律的结果”：

through customs 通过海关；through a red light 闯红灯

6、用于习语:

all through the war 在整个战争中；throughout 在……各部分，在……各时期。throughout the country 全国；throughout the world 全世界；throughout his life 有生之年
