一般来说，to后面的动词用原形。

但是，以下的词组，由于to是介词，它后面的动词要加ing：

1] be used to

[1] 意思是“习惯于”，后面动词加ing;

[2] 是“被用于”，动词用原形。常考

In Wish City, Mr. Whya is used to keeping his promise now.

Here one’s promise is used to open any doors.

2] be accustomed to 习惯于

He is also accustomed to making friends with the people in Wish City.

3] turn to

意思是“改行”时，后面动词加ing；

是“转过来”，动词用原形。常考

He has turned to making new products[产品]

He turns to have a look at the way here and he smiles.

4] look forward to

意思是“盼望”时，后面动词加ing；

意思是是往前看时，用原形

He looks forward to becoming one of the citizens[市民].

When he looks forward, he seems to see the day coming.

5] get used to 习惯上了

He gets used to singing when he goes to work.

6] be devoted to 献身于，从事

devote oneself to 献身于，从事

devote something to 把某物用于……

Of course he will devote himself to working.

He will devote his time to learning new skills.

And he will be devoted to studying new products

7] contribute oneself to 献身于，跟devote 的意思差不多。

contribute something to

be contributed to

Now，he decides to be contributed to making his company better.

8] stick to 坚持

He sticks to learning from others.

9] object to 反对

be opposed to 反对

He objects to making false food.

And he is opposed to wasting useful things.

10] get down to 着手

Now he will get down to check the new food.

11] there is no end to 做某事没有终止

There is no end to doing such work.

12] pay attention to 注意

But he can still pay attention to checking every detail.

13] equal to 等于

This equals to trying to find an atom in the sea.

14] key to 做某事的关键

But he knows being careful is the key to succeeding.
